Options Screen:
When a "story" screen appears, press X, L1, L2.
Press Start to go to the Kombat Kube screen,
then press Up to reveal a question mark.
Select this for some special options.
Play as Smoke:
To play as Smoke, enter the code "010-696" on the Kombat Kode screen.
Ultimate Kombat Screen:
To get to the Ultimate Kombat Kode screen easily,
rotate the controller counterclockwise twice during Story Mode.
More Options:
At the trademark screen, press □, X, O, Δ, R1, R1, R2, R2, R1, R1.
You should hear Shao Kahn say, "You will never win."
Press Up when the screen with the spinning MK3 logo on the cube that says: "Kombat" is on-screen.
A question mark appears. Use this option for a plethora of cheats, including playing as Smoke and unlimited credits.
Unlimited Continues:
During story mode press Up Up Right Right Left Left Down Down.

If the kode is done correctly, Smoke will walk out onto the next screen. Now he is at your command.

Endurance Mode:
On the main menu, highlight Start Game, then (Hold A+B+C) and press Start.

To play, press Start to register for the battle, then use Left and Right to select a fighter for each box or press B to choose a fighter at random for the current box.
To randomize the entire match, (Hold Up+Start).
Fight Smoke:
To fight Smoke, select Vs. Mode.
At the Vs. screen, press A, A, C, C, C on both controllers.
After the first round the winner will fight Smoke.
Play as Smoke:
Turn on the game. Wait for the MK3 logo to appear.
When you hear the bell, press A, B, B, A, Down, A, B, B, A, Down, Up, Up.
Shao Kahn VS Shao Kahn:
Enable the cheat code menus (CHEAT CODES and SECRET MENU), then pick "BOSSES ENABLE."
Then player one and player two picks SINDEL.
At the VS screen put in the code 033-564.
Let player one win round one. When you fight him, player two presses Start.
Then player one picks Shao Kahn. Player two picks Sindel.
Again let player one win round one.  Then watch Shao Kahn fight Shao Kahn.
NOTE: For other matches repeat the code for Shao Kahn, but enter these codes:

205-205: Smoke
769-342: Noob Saibot
469-141: Motaro
Secret Stage Fatality:
Defeat Shao Kahn to display a message stating that you are the new MK3 champion.
Press Start on the controller that was not used to defeat Shao Kahn.
The two player selection screen will appear with "-" displayed as the next level.
Continue game play to fight on the screen that states you are the next champion.
Note: Using an uppercut during this match will result in the fight ending with no winners.
Defeat your opponent without using any uppercuts to fight Shao Kahn again.
Always defeated with fatality or brutality:
Lose a single player match and (Hold Down) on both controllers.
Your opponent will end the match with a fatality or brutality.

Players have a limited time to input their respective parts of the code using Low Punch (LP), Block (BL), and Low Kick (LK).

Cycle backwards by hitting Up and the button.

If both players enter the correct code, a message will appear, notifying them of the effect.
These effects range from health handicaps to unlocking secret battles or characters.
